It should stop immediately
Stop the illegal occupation of Palestinian land. A holiday in a stolen home in a country where the original owners of the land are oppressed and ethnically “cleansed” is not a victimless crime and it is certainly not my choice of destination.
“Have been using airbnb for 2 years and this is the first listing that I am giving a 0/5. It violates international law and basic human rights! I would never rent a home built on land that was illegally stolen from Palestinians.”
Some people have zero scruples.
This is like me renting out my neighbors’ house while they are away and reaping the profits. I consider it A CRIME.
I’ve been to Palestine before and enjoyed staying there. thinking airbnb would be a good choice for accommodation I was delighted to see some listings. However i was disgusted to find that this was actually on a settlement and not with a Palestinian family.
I have stopped using Air BNB because as a Jewish Canadian, I cannot condone or contribute to the repression of Palestinians in my name.
I would NEVER stay at a “vacation” place in the West Bank. That land was stolen from Palestinians and Israel is doing nothing to make peace. Israel, you are not making any friends with the younger generation of this planet. Choose new leadership or risk further alienation.
That’s bad karma AirBNB!
