  • There was no mention in the ad that the place was haunted. All night my family and I could hear the sound of crying. At first we thought it was the neighbours and were getting very concerned for the welfare of the children, but then we realised the cries were coming from inside the house. In fact from the very walls. We could only make out some of what was said between the crying… ‘but it’s my home’….. mummy, I want to stay’….. as if our lives aren’t hard enough’….. ‘thieves, give it back’! I’m not sure what it all meant but we certainly won’t be staying there again!!

  • Who really wants to vacation there? What makes it worse is that there is no respect for the Palestinians.

  • I was very upset to realise that this home was not only near the Apartheid wall, but was built on stolen Palestinian land.
There is no way that I would have booked to stay at this listing if I had realised the true situation.
I will not book anything further through airbnb until they change their policy and stop listing places on stolen land.

  • I would expect a company to stick to at least some basic moral values.
The fact that we are not looking at the actions of your own company does not mean that you are not partly responsible for this immoral power grab of land.

  • Won’t use airbnb in any of my future trips until ALL STOLEN homes are removed from your listings, not just those in the Occupied West Bank.

  • What a disgrace! Your company is part of the problem and the whole world will know it. Shame on you making a profit off the suffering of the Palestinian people .

  • You have no right to profit on other people’s misery. You should be supporting the people of Palestine whose homes have been stolen, not subjecting them to further exploitation.

  • About the host, Airbnb

Last year alone Airbnb made almost $1 billion in revenue, and Airbnb is worth a whopping $24 billion. Yet, Airbnb continues to make a profit from homes located in illegal housing settlements in occupied territory.
