Legality:

  • Future generations will look back at the apartheid regeim in Israel and Palestine and be appalled with the international industries that were complicit in it. Take a stand AirBNB, your reputation relies on it.

  • Terrible – It leaves the Israeli government as supporting separating races and stealing homes, vineyards and livlehood of others than themselves and not being a democracy as they claim

  • Apartheid was, is and will never be acceptable.
So is making profit through apartheid.

  • Why is AirBnb doing this? Why would anyone want to rent properties on stolen land? This has to be stopped..

  • I find it unbelievable that AirBnb would try to profit from a clearly illegal profit-making enterprise in the West Bank. The whole world should boycott AirBnb until there are none of these “vacation” opportunities available to those who would exploit stolen lands.

  • This is like renting a home built on an illegally stolen burial ground

  • Airbnb claims to respect the law but connives at the breaking of international law. I contacted them directly on this, pointing out that I would not expect them to accept listings in London or NYC for accommodation in buildings they knew to be illegally squatted and this is no different in principle. When they finally sent a seemingly substantive reply, after dragging their feet and needing to be prodded, it was with bland platitudes that dodged the issue. Airbnb, international law IS law and you will not get my custom again until you stop colluding with those who flaunt it and stop putting customers in the potential position of colluding too. I write as someone who has been a frequent Airbnb customer for several years. Not any more, and instead of recommending the service to friends I am now warning people off I until it puts its house in order (so to speak) on this issue.

  • I think this listing is the equivalent of spitting in the face of Palestinian refugees, and stomping on the dead bodies of Palestinian people, young and old, who died just to live in their home. I use AirBnb but to be honest, if they don’t remove listings from illegally occupied territories, I will stop using and stop promoting. I will spread the word to all my compassionate friends who use AirBnb and start a boycott.

  • I think it is totally wrong to try to make profit from and with anything that has been and is causing extreme distress to the Palestinian People.

  • To profit over other people’s suffering is absolutely disgraceful and I will NEVER use AirBnb and will spread the word that you use unscrupulous practices just to earn a dollar. Just shameful.

  • About the host, Airbnb

Last year alone Airbnb made almost $1 billion in revenue, and Airbnb is worth a whopping $24 billion. Yet, Airbnb continues to make a profit from homes located in illegal housing settlements in occupied territory.
