Born in the air and stealing Palestinian land does not fit together
I would never rent a stolen home that violates international law and basic human rights. Shame on you Airbnb!
As someone who has traveled through Italy with my wife, using Air B&B solely for international travel, I would never knowingly stay in a space that has a bad history behind it or is the result of an ethnic violent conflict. This represents one of those instances, justice demands that people not profit from space that was taken illegally from another.
It is disgusting and totally immoral to advertise holiday letting in occupied Palestinian land.
Shameful.
How could anyone sleep well in a stolen property??
The stench of death and stolen land fills ones nose, the taste of unenforced U.N. resolutions is in everything and the feel of boots and fists and guns can be experienced here. The views are appalling – when’s Banksy coming back to finish his murals on that ugly wall?
What are you doing, offering properties in illegal settlements? Have you lost your sense of reason?
This land was stolen. Now people vacation there? And have fun? And act as if they don’t know? I’d have to give my mind a vacation to live with that.
After living in Canada on Indigenous stolen land for so long, we grew bored and were eager to try something new! We had talked about staying on an illegal Israeli settlement for so long, and finally my wife surprised me with this airbnb booking! Best anniversary gift ever!
As soon as we approached the settlement, you could hear the sound of the gun shots! The cries of Palestinian children. And the smell of burning olive trees.
The views were exquisite! There’s nothing like sitting back and getting a beautiful look at the Apartheid wall. When you pay $100 a night, you want to get the full apartheid experience – and boy did we get it!
Our only complaint was one day a Palestinian family who “claimed” to have lived there came back to get pick from their olive trees. Thankfully Israeli armed guards stepped in immediately and took care of the situation. We were glad of that because we had an olive picking tour scheduled for 2pm!
All in all, it was a wonderful stay. If you truly want the feel of stealing innocent people’s homes, livelihoods, and freedom – DEFINITELY recommend this stay! It’s good to know money isn’t going towards terrorism. Unless you count Israeli state-led terrorism, but thats different.
One of a kind place! Well, not one of a kind, there’s actually hundreds more like this…
It is not acceptable to do what you are doing. You are playing your part in destroying people’s lives. Have you no conscience?
